Online and affordable
The master of healthcare analytics and operations (MHAO) program at the Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business has been ranked sixth in the nation for Online Master’s in Healthcare Analytics and most affordable among the top 10 programs, according to AnalyticsDegrees.org.
The program, designed to meet the needs of working healthcare professionals, launched in fall 2022.
“Our program is just two years old and has already achieved national ranking. We are incredibly proud of this recognition, which reflects the quality and rigor of our curriculum, as well as the outstanding work of our dedicated faculty,” said Natallia Gray, assistant dean, who leads the MHAO program. “Business professionals and health data analysts play a vital role in healthcare organizations. They have the opportunity to make a significant impact in their careers and in their communities.”

Healthcare analysts, executives, insurance companies, providers, and policymakers are more invested than ever before in creating more efficient operations. Students in the MHAO program gain the skills and tools necessary to make the right decisions to improve healthcare delivery systems, lower costs, and enhance patient care — ultimately helping to save lives.
“Our affordable, online program requires 30 credits and can be completed in as little as 15 months,” Gray said. The program’s curriculum is also aligned with the requirements for the Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) exam.
The MHAO degree is perfect for busy professionals like Ethan Johnson, a student in the program who works full-time at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa.
“The online learning format has allowed me to be very flexible with my school work and gives me the freedom to complete assignments when I’m actually available to do so,” Johnson said.
