About the speaker
As vice president of strategic initiatives, Natalie Bachman focuses on delivering and tracking value generation across the organization by acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, the Agile Portfolio Office (APO), and business owners to help ensure strategy planning and strategic initiatives are executed smoothly, effectively, and sustainably.
Natalie joined Wellmark in September 2011 as director of benefits and compensation. She was promoted to director of strategic sales operations in March 2014, providing strategy development, implementation, and operations for the Sales division. Prior to joining Wellmark, Natalie was a human resources director at Principal Financial Group where she served on the leadership team for the health division. In addition, she held roles as benefit director for the organization, was HR lead for merger and acquisition work, and held several positions with product development and actuarial work in the retirement division.
Natalie volunteers as a board member and secretary for the Des Moines Area Community College Foundation, is a member of the Executive Advisory Board for the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship and the healthcare management program at Iowa State University, and is a co-founder of an angel investor firm. She received a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science and a master of business administration with a focus on entrepreneurship/innovation and digital marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
