Business students celebrate signing internship and job offers
On December 4, the Ivy College of Business Career Services (BCS) staff hosted Ivy CYning Day, a half-day event celebrating student success. In addition to providing students with free snacks and drinks, the event provided students with the opportunity to celebrate their signing of an internship or full-time job offer.
“I had a great time connecting with students and faculty to celebrate the internships that we received,” said Jack Turcotte, a sophomore from West Des Moines, Iowa, studying actuarial science and finance. Turcotte will be joining Principal Financial Group this summer as an actuarial intern. “CYning Day once again demonstrated Ivy’s passion for promoting and celebrating their students’ professional success.”
Students had their photos taken with signs highlighting their acceptance and fun props tied to the event’s theme. The photos create opportunities for students to post on LinkedIn and share their news. Also, students using the event photo in a post who tagged Ivy using the hashtag #IvyCYningDay were entered into a drawing for the chance to win one of three $50 gift cards.
Regan Saxton, a senior from Eldridge, Iowa, studying supply chain management and marketing, will be joining John Deere full-time as a part of their supply chain rotational program. She attended CYning Day. “It was a very fun experience.”

Isabelle Woodward, a senior from Carmel, Indiana, studying entrepreneurship, marketing and event management, will be joining Collins Aerospace for a summer internship. “The event was helpful for networking and had a great atmosphere,” she said.
Jared Frie, a senior from Monticello, Minnesota, studying marketing, will be joining Fiserv’s two-year sales rotational program. “It was a great opportunity for an addition to my LinkedIn.”
This event is one of many ways Ivy’s BCS office brings a positive lift to students’ days and creates opportunities for students to promote their success. Whether you’re an undergraduate or graduate student, the BCS staff is available to provide you with the knowledge, competencies, and resources for career achievement, as well as connect you with employers. Students are encouraged to connect with staff and learn of the many ways they can benefit your Ivy experience.
