Earn your Ivy College of Business master of business analytics (MBAN) degree at the same time you’re earning your bachelor of management information systems (MIS) degree at Iowa State University through our concurrent programs. The master of business analytics program is tailored to the needs of working professionals and undergraduates looking to get ahead.

Our curriculum focuses on critical tools like analytics leadership, data wrangling and analytics, data visualization and communication, and problem solving — taught through hands-on exercises and case studies.

Customize your degree by taking courses from across campus. This interdisciplinary program draws from several of Iowa State University’s leading education fields in science and technology, including:

  • Computer science.
  • Electrical engineering.
  • Computer engineering.
  • Statistics.
  • Industrial engineering.
  • Manufacturing system engineering.

Admission to the concurrent program is competitive. Successful candidates demonstrate superior academic ability, strong leadership attributes, and clear career focus.

Admitted students typically have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above.

    Apply to the concurrent master’s program in your seventh semester using the online application link above. Once accepted, you’ll start the concurrent master’s program in your eighth semester.

    Notes for applicants

    Admitted students are classified as graduate students when concurrent enrollment begins and are subsequently assessed graduate business tuition and fees.

    Prospective concurrent students should check with the financial aid office to better understand how aid may change with graduate student status.
