Ivy Custom Education
“We worked with the Ivy faculty on developing a comprehensive sales process and training content customized to our needs. I was extremely impressed by their capabilities to transform cutting-edge research and methods into relevant business tools and applications.”

To drive business success, the Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business launched a new custom education program in 2023 to help businesses and organizations throughout Iowa.
“The Ivy Custom Education program connects high-potential employees with the expertise and experience of our internationally known faculty. We design each program to meet the needs of any organization,” said Raisbeck Endowed Dean David Spalding. “We bring our faculty to you to enhance your organization’s learning journey.”
Business faculty transform cutting-edge research and methods into relevant business tools and applications.
The program, also known as executive education in many places, is under the leadership of Raj Agnihotri, marketing professor and executive director of industry engagement.
“We are seeing a tremendous response from businesses across the great state of Iowa and beyond,” said Agnihotri, who is also the founding director of the Ivy Sales Forum.
“We have either completed or are delivering custom education programs to notable organizations such as Kent Corporation, Union Pacific, Sukup, and Holmes Murphy, to name a few. Businesses seek our help at various levels of their organizational structure, ranging from frontline employees to top-level leadership. As we advance, I envision the Ivy Custom Education program becoming a true partner to Iowa businesses in achieving a competitive edge,” said Agnihotri.
The program is designed to take a focused and personal approach to professional development, offering in-person, hybrid, and interactive sessions designed to meet the particular needs of corporate clients.
“We bring the expertise of our faculty to you,” Agnihotri said. “Whether your company is looking to develop and retain talent, manage change, or meet strategic business objectives, our program taps into the expertise of Ivy’s research faculty and teaching professionals to offer learning interventions and add strategic value to your organization.”
The connections you need
The Ivy College of Business has close relationships with Iowa businesses and organizations through existing executive advisory councils in each academic department. These relationships help college leaders strengthen instruction and research by keeping a strong vigil on marketplace challenges and opportunities.
The Ivy advantage
Ivy Custom Education offers solutions based on your company’s unique needs and employee profile. We believe each business organization has a unique culture, values, mission, and approach to serving its customers. That is the reason they do not want to rely on standardized training programs to develop their high-potential staff. We firmly respect the organizational philosophy that an organization’s exclusive problems and challenges also need exceptional solutions customized to their needs.
