Masoud's research interests lie in data science and the design of information systems, with a particular focus on studying the effects of visual content on users behavior in online environments. He develops and leverages image processing, natural language processing, and social network analysis techniques to answer research questions related to online platforms such as social media, sharing economy, and e-commerce. His current research centers on multi-modal emotion analysis and user engagement in social media.
