Bio
After 20 years of leading teams and managing organizations in the Iowa Army National Guard, I've shifted focus to sharing lessons with students - they are the future. I have the privilege of introducing students to human resource management, evidence-based decision-making, and general management topics.
Here are a few phrases that resonate strongly with me:
ASKing is KEY - always seek knowledge, knowledge empowers you.
"Leave it better than you found it" - Sir Robert Baden-Powell. When I first learned this phrase, it was about camping. Since then, I've learned to apply it to everything.
Do well and do good - this comes from the quote "The goal can be simply stated: Prepare students to do well and do good in their careers and as citizens." by Bill Coplin in his book The Happy Professor.
