Bio

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Information Systems and Business Analytics at Iowa State University. I will be on the job market in the fall of 2024. My research primarily uses insights from patent data to examine the strategic fit between a firm’s innovation strategies and IT capabilities. My current work studies how IT capabilities complement firms with different innovation orientations and innovation structures to create innovations and improve market performance using external technologiies. Prior to my Ph.D., I worked as a patent agent in China for 10 years and obtained over 1,000 patents for leading global tech companies.
