About the speaker

Mady Schmidt is a client growth executive at Velera, a financial technology solutions provider and payments processor serving over 4,000 financial institutions nationwide. Mady engages, educates, and supports her assigned credit unions with strategy and solutions to help drive growth and help them achieve their goals.

Prior to her current role, Mady spent the last five years working on the talent acquisition side of Velera, recruiting and training new talent for the organization. She created the company’s first internship program, which was recognized as a Top 100 Internship Program nationally in 2022 and a Campus Forward Award Winner in 2024. Her passion for helping and connecting with others has led her to take on numerous speaking engagements over the last few years as she looks to share what she has learned. Mady holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Waldorf University.
