Master of Business Administration and Specialized Masters Association

Want to meet others and explore your interests outside of the classroom? Many Ivy graduate students join the Master of Business Administration and Specialized Masters Association (MBASMA), which is designed to allow graduate students in business the opportunity to network with each other and business professionals. The MBASMA creates and pursues opportunities for students to develop the skills and behaviors required in business.

    Message from the MBASMA president

Greetings from the Master of Business Administration and Specialized Master’s Association. I am thrilled to share with you our student organization’s story and our commitment to growing our students’ network and professional skills, and aiding in their personal growth here at Iowa State University.

This past year, we have hosted over half a dozen events for Ivy’s graduate students, including events that seek to help build networks and improve professional skills for the workplace.

    These events include the following:

    • A sold-out educational wine event sponsored by Bill Kalm (’73 industrial administration; ’77 interdisciplinary industrial administration sciences).
    • A fall picnic to kick off the new semester.
    • A spring BBQ to close down a great year.
    • The third annual spring gala hosted this year by Kingland.

MBASMA is committed to continue to grow our organization and our reach within Ivy – and we’d love your support! For more information on how to get in touch with our organization, reach out to me at jsauls@iastate.edu.
