Apply for multiple scholarships at one time
On October 1, the OneApp scholarship portal is open for incoming first-year and current students. OneApp allows Iowa State University students to apply for multiple scholarships at once. Students can find opportunities offered through the Office of Student Financial Aid, academic colleges and departments, and other campus units, such as Multicultural Student Affairs, Women in Science and Engineering, Student Accessibility Services, and more.
Once Ivy students indicate their major within OneApp, they will automatically be considered for opportunities within the Ivy College of Business and their specific departments.
Incoming first-year students or current high school seniors should complete their OneApp scholarship application by February 13, 2025. Current students have until April 3, 2025, and transfer students have until March 6, 2025. These deadlines are important so units and departments have time to award their funding.
Ivy Scholarship Coordinator, Bryce Phillips, knows the impact scholarships make on our students.
“Ivy provides over $2 million in scholarships for students enrolled in business-undeclared or a business major,” he said. “With the support of available scholarships in our college, we are able to lessen the burden of financial stress students feel and allow them to unlock their full potential. Scholarships can create new educational opportunities for students who may never have thought going to college was a possibility.”
Phillips can assist students with their OneApp scholarship application questions and guide them along the process.
“One of my favorite parts of the job is advising students on the financial aspects of their college education,” said Phillips. “It’s key for students to spend time on the application and use specific or unique examples in their essay answers. This will help them stand out in the awarding process.”
Students can log into OneApp, start their application, and save it at any time. This helps make the application process convenient for busy students.
“The average scholarship amount the Ivy College of Business awards is $2,800,” Phillips added. “The opportunities are out there, and not filling out the OneApp is like leaving money on the table.”
