Meet Your Career Professional

Colby Clark is the employer engagement specialist for Business Career Services. She plans and executes career events such as the Business, Industry, and Technology Career Fair as well as leads employer relations. Clark holds a bachelor’s and master’s of education from Iowa State University. In her free time, she likes to spend time outside with family and enjoys tending to her hobby farm. Her favorite part of Ivy is the feeling of community and being so close to a Café.

Shana Hicks is the career coordinator for accounting, business analytics, and actuarial science students. Before joining the Ivy College of Business, she was a team lead in customer engagement and a graduate assistant for a career services center.  She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in her home state of Texas. Her favorite part of the Ivy College of Business is the connection with the students.

Shalika Khindurangala is the career coordinator for finance, entrepreneurship, and business economics students. With expertise in academic advising and client success, she supports students’ career development. She is involved in various organizations at Iowa State University, including co-advising the Collegiate Women in Business Club. She holds a bachelor’s and a master’s from Iowa State University. In her free time, she runs a Ukrainian bakery and shares technology tips with colleagues.

Brooke Long is the career coordinator for business undeclared, bachelor of business administration, and management information systems students. Prior to Business Career Services, Long worked in human resources. She has a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and a master’s from the University of Northern Iowa. In her free time, she collects vintage clothing and enjoys long-distance running. Brooke’s favorite part about working at Ivy is the students. They make her optimistic about the future.

Connie Steffen is the reporting and administrative coordinator for Business Career Services. She collects and compiles student outcome and internship data for the department’s annual report. She also offers administrative support to the team and provides customer service to Ivy students, faculty, and employers. She is a proud Iowa State University alumna. Prior to her employment at Iowa State, she worked in a variety of roles in the public and private sector revolving around management, customer service, training, and administration.

Bobbi Sullivan is the assistant director of Business Career Services and the career coordinator for marketing and human resource management students.  Prior to joining the Ivy College of Business, she held roles in talent acquisition, career services,  academic advising, and K-12 teaching. She earned a bachelor’s from the University of Northern Iowa and a master’s of education degree from Oregon State University. She is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. Her favorite part of Ivy is the community’s tight knit feel within a large university.

Kathryn Wieland is the director of Business Career Services and the career coordinator for students pursuing majors in healthcare management, management, and supply chain management. She joined Iowa State University in 1997 as an experiential learning coordinator. In July of 2004 she was named director of Business Career Services. She is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. In 2010 and 2022 she won the Iowa State University Provost’s award for Professional and Scientific Excellence. Wieland has a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Iowa.
